My Journey

I joined S&J Construction back in 2006 as an administrator in Johannesburg. My days were filled with data entry, emails, phone calls, and various administrative tasks. Over time, I climbed the ladder, becoming a Production Manager. In this role, I processed claims, managed daily projects, and worked closely with clients and insurance companies to ensure our projects met their standards.
In 2013, S&J expanded to Pietermaritzburg, and I joined the newly established branch, eventually rising to the position of Branch Manager. Now, I oversee the entire UMgungundlovu district, leading a dedicated team and managing projects from start to finish.

What Ignited My Passion For Construction?
It was the challenge of finding innovative solutions for worn-out roofs and unexpected structural issues. One of the most memorable experiences was rebuilding a completely burned-down house. We started from scratch, from plastering to painting, and seeing that client's satisfaction as their home came back to life left a lasting impression.

Of course, there are challenges in this field, but I believe in giving our best, even when faced with difficult projects. I recall a project where a client was dissatisfied with a bathroom tile job. Despite the setbacks, it's rewarding to hear them praise our work later.

My Goal St S&J Construction?
To continually improve our service, enhance team communication, and expand my knowledge to better serve our clients. Construction is about renewing and fixing, and I find great satisfaction in it.
I believe the future of construction is diverse and inclusive, with more women entering the field. S&J Construction is a testament to this diversity, and it's changing the industry for the better.
